Future Steps, Inc. is a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to help amputees and people with limb loss in Texas navigate barriers to prosthetic access.
Our story
Why Future Steps exists
Future Steps was founded by P. Andrew Crisologo, who saw firsthand in the Dallas County community how cost and coverage can limit a person’s options after an amputation—even when an appropriate prosthesis exists.
In Texas, and particularly in Dallas County, many people face significant financial and practical barriers after limb loss. Without access to an appropriate prosthesis, they may have fewer mobility options and encounter additional barriers in work and daily life.
Future Steps was created to stand in that gap — to help people pursue prosthetic access, practical support, and the mobility options that fit their goals.
Our mission: To serve amputees and people with limb loss across Texas through social support, resource connections, and possible financial assistance that help make prosthetics more accessible and support greater autonomy.
